My aim for my poster was to get the message 'Don't Smoke' across as I feel that smoking is a big problem in New Zealand. I believe that teenagers are being pressured to try it but can't stop after that first smoke, leading to lung problems and a shorter life. This idea was influenced by our school study 'Keeping Ourselves Safe.'

I got the idea to do this poster from our class studies in terms one and four which were about 'Keeping Ourselves Safe' and 'Identifying Hazards.' The idea of cigarettes and smoking suddenly popped into my mind when I thought about the health hazards which made me start thinking about the problem of discouraging people to stop smoking. I thought to make a 'Don't Smoke 'poster. I made my poster independently using Comic Life.

I hate cigarettes so much. I hate how people would do things that would lessen the time they have left here on Earth. I hope that the day will come the cigarettes will be banned because they are very dangerous. I cannot understand why anyone would want to buy a product that can actually kill them. My father is a big smoker and sometimes I wish he would stop. He never listens to me and I hate it so much because I know that every time he lights up a cigarette, I get to have lesser time to be with him.
