Minecraft Munchies

As part of our Food Glorious Food unit in term two the students had the option of designing an advertisement for a new breakfast cereal. The new cereal could be a combination of existing products or a modification of an existing product OR something completely new. They were challenged to come up with a catchy phrase to 'sell' their product. The students also needed to think about who their audience was and how they would design and advertisement to appeal to that particular group.


The students manipulated images from the Internet and made their own images using different shapes. They used a combination of layering, instant alpha, shape manipulation and experimenting with different fonts. These advertisements are created from many layers that have been grouped to form the finished product. The students used Keynote for this project as it is so good for layering and grouping images.
