Room 6 have been learning about identifying hazards and safety for topic. In class we have been learning to manipulate images using the Pixelmator program. Maddie, Emma and Brooke decided to make a poster that would remind other children to wear their helmet. After some planning they took a photo and used the repair tool to remove the chair that their ghost was standing on. Next they cut off Emma’s head using the lasso tool and moved it into the ghosts hand. They tidied up the area where her head used to be using the repair tool, then added the text.

As part of our Physical Education programme in Term 2 we were to develop a modified Net/Wall game. We had been learning about different Net/Wall games.Students had played a variety of Net/Wall games as part of our PE programme in Term 2 and discussed the key aspects/attributes of a Net/Wall games. They then had to develop a game, which was trialled out before producing a graphic image on how to play. They realised that they needed the headings: Aim of the game, Equipment, Rules and step by step Instructions. These are laminated and the students can now play these at school.

We were learning to take different camera shots on the iPad. The children were also practising using the ComicLife App.The children learnt about different digital photo features during each lesson: lines, texture, mouse view, birds-eye view and colour. They took at least 6 photos each time and chose their best 4 for their poster. The poster, done on Comic Life, had to demonstrate what they had learnt about the shot. The children chose their best poster to enter Media Mash.
