Room 7, Invercargill Middle School, Year 1-3
The children already knew how to make ebooks from work we had done earlier in the year, however we fine tuned this by creating a set of criteria for a strong ebook. The children had to think about consistency through their book, and also make sure it was easy for others to read. They created their own books using photos, drawings, and videos that they had taken themselves. Our focus for the term was teaching others about respect and responsibility.
My group chose two people shaking hands as our dominant image. This is good choices because they are making a deal. The colour we chose for the background of our image was really dark blue. Our background of our pages were black except for the last one. That was red. It was different because it had our names on it. We thought that was cool. Our group chose chalk taster font so you can read it easily. Our sound box on every page is beside the writing. Our group’s layout is consistent which means its that same through the book.
