What is Cancer?

During the year Maggie investigated cancer, the effects of it and how shaving her hair for the foundation ‘Shave for a Cure – Blood cancer and Leukaemia’ will help people going through cancer. The main learning intentions were:

• Research information using the Internet and any other sources.
• Learn how to make an animation and incorporating green screening.
• Describe how cancer affects New Zealander’s and how we can help.
• Use a variety of ICT skills and effects to create a documentary.
I used Kid Pix Deluxe, Animations, GreenScreening, GoPro, time lapse, digital camera – photos/videos (helped by my friends) and ipad apps – FX Guru and AutoRap.

I wanted to show that we more or less know someone with or who has been affected by cancer. My question was “What is cancer?” And how it affects New Zealanders. I rang the Cancer Society in Auckland for information.
I wanted people to understand cancer foundations are important and need our support.
In my animation / greenscreen 3 cancer cells are shown as to how nasty they are.
