Jonah Lomu

We learnt about New Zealand’s history. At the start of this unit we learnt about famous New Zealand sports stars. Next we started to learn about documentaries. We also learnt how to create our documentaries using iMovie. We had to include interviews, narration, re-enacted footage, photos, text and music.

First we had to brainstorm famous New Zealand sports stars we wanted to make a documentary about. We chose Jonah Lomu because we are all fans of Jonah. Then we had to research about Jonah for our documentary. Then we had to talk about what documentaries have in them. After that we made up a storyboard showing us what we were doing in our documentary. Then we sorted out characters and made a list of what we needed to bring. After we had practised what we were doing we filmed and edited our documentary.
