Dom and Robbie, Room 5, Ascot Community School. Year 7&8. We had been looking at Rights and Responsibilities in class and wanted to make a movie in ICT to link with this. We used an iPad mini and iMovie on the mac and iPad. We learned to use more advanced tools like picture in picture. We also used scratch to make animations and a stop motion app on the iPad.

Room 7, Otautau School. Year 7. The idea was to try and motivate people to attend a ANZAC service, and show appreciation for the sacrifice the soldiers made.
It gave us the opportunity to see what it would be like to produce, shoot and edit with sound effects a movie and it was a great experience for our cameraman. It took heaps of organisation to get it filmed and edited. Next we are planning to produce and film a 5 minutes short film. Room 3, St Thomas Aquinas Winton. Year 7 and 8. Teacher: Joy Quinlan. We had a terrific cam p at Deep Cove in Term 2. To share our learning and experiences, we decided to create a commercial, because we had such an amazing time. We thought other people should experience this great place.
So you may be asking, how did we make this video? Firstly, we used iMovie on the iPad. We then stringed some pictures of our camp together and recorded our voice-overs. Once we were happy with it all, we edited it and added in some music. Room 3, St Thomas Aquinas Winton. Year 7 and 8. In Term 2 of this year, the year 6 – 8’s at St Thomas Aquinas went to Deep Cove for camp. As a part of our learning after camp we decided to make a commercial to advertise Deep Cove and show our wonderful pictures and experiences. We used iMovie on the iPad. We shot scenes and added in pictures, voiceovers, sound affects and titles. We were very successful. Enjoy the video.
Room 11, WInton School. Year 7 and 8. Teacher: Julie Mynes. LEARNING INTENTIONS :
As a part of our Fair Trade unit, we wanted to make an commercial selling a chocolate bar that would support the Fair Trade movement. Our learning intentions were to discover more iMovie skills and also to use different filming techniques on our new iPad minis to create a clever commercial. We also wanted to use humour to help sell a product. PROCESS OF THE PROJECT : Our Terms focus was integrating our new iPad minis into our learning. Our teacher let the three of us create a movie project that related to our Fair Trade unit. We decided to make a commercial using humour and different filming techniques to sell a chocolate bar. We planned a story board, decided on our roles and worked with some Year 7 students to make our commercial. We also designed using Printshop, a wrapper for our chocolate bar. We edited it in iMovie with sound, transitions, filters and voice overs. No one was harmed in the making of this project! |
