Transparent Moon

Room 1, Woodlands Full Primary School. Year 7 and 8. Teacher: Heidi Wilcox.

At the start of 2013 Woodlands School PTA bought the children 12 digital cameras to help capture their learning. These have been a wonderful asset for the school and have given many children a voice through photography. We have used the cameras in all curriculum areas and the senior children have enjoyed being photography buddies with the junior children.

This year we have learnt that a great photo can have light, line, angles, colour and people. 
In term one we each took a camera to Stewart Island to capture our memories of camp. When I was walking along the beach at Ulva Island I saw a moon jellyfish floating in the water. The sand was golden and the water super clear and I thought this would make a great photo.
