Ramp to Paradise

At the start of 2013 Woodlands School PTA bought the children 12 digital cameras to help capture their learning. These have been a wonderful asset for the school and have given many children a voice through photography. We have used the cameras in all curriculum areas and the senior children have enjoyed being photography buddies with the junior children.

When we were on camp at Stewart Island we went through the Raroa track. At the end of the track we came out onto a beautiful area called Thule. There were some old boat sheds with rusty ramps and when I looked out over the water I spotted a dinghy. I thought this scene would make a good photo with the reflections and golden colours of the rocks and ramp. I had to climb down between the rails to take the photo and try not to get my feet wet!
