Learning Intentions:
To write a myth
Explore a variety of myths to find out the features to help us know how to write a create a myth.
Understand the purpose of a myth (i.e. the forming of Stewart Island).
Study characters and the importance of heroes.
Explore and understand how to change our written myth into a dialogue to perform.
Explore how iMovie works on our new iPad minis.
Learn how to video people from different angles
Use sound to record voice overs.
Add clips to a project timeline and put in sequence to tell our story.
Export our project to Vimeo


PROCESS OF THE PROJECT : 
To write a myth as part of our Term Inquiry around our Community Polyfest. We studied Myths by Gavin Bishop and at the Literacy Hut online. We developed a check list/criteria of great myths before writing our own, then creating one as a group. We then turned our myth into dialogue to perform ourselves.
We wanted to record our myth for our community, whanau, friends and pen pals across the seas to enjoy. We purchased new iPad minis for the whole school and learnt how to use iMovies. We exported our project to vimeo to share/embed in our blog
